Operating Systems
My background is within the Microsoft Windows operating systems which have included supporting Windows 3x, 9x, NT4, 2000, XP, Vista, NT4 server, 2000 server (also attending an MCSA course for that particular O/S) and 2003 server. I have worked on Windows workgroups, NT4 domains and Active Directory domains, including migrating sites from NT4 to Active Directory.
If you want a Windows server network infrastructure setting up, then I am certainly experienced in that area. (Just for the extra nerd factor, I am sad enough to run Active Directory on my own home network!) Oh yes, I almost forgot that I also used to grapple with a very unreliable IBM AS/400 machine on a daily basis which saw me forge some close working relationships with the north west UK IBM support engineers. (I could have sworn at one point HR were going to ask me to enquire if the IBM techies would like to have their own lockers!)
